The mica group of sheet silicate minerals includes several closely related materials having highly perfect basal cleavage. Micas are widely distributed and occur in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary regimes. Scrap and flake mica is produced all over the world. The flake mica comes from several sources: the metamorphic rock called schist as a by-product of processing feldspar and kaolin resources, from placer deposits and from pegmatite. Mica is non toxic and water proof. We process the raw material through our sophisticated unit to enhance the quality of mica. |
